Salford Red Devils are looking to bounce back from defeat to Hull KR when they face Warrington Wolves at the Halliwell Jones Stadium later today.
Paul Rowley’s men got off to a winning start in Round 1 against Leigh Leopards, but a string of errors against KR in Round 2 ultimately proved costly.
Ken Sio got the hosts off to a flying start, but despite dominating proceedings in the first 40, Salford failed to turn so much good play into points and went into the break only four points up.
A flurry of tries early in the second period from the Robins turned the game on its head and the Red Devils just could not wrestle back the momentum.
Next up is a trip to face Warrington Wolves, a team who finished 11th last season, but have recruited heavily since then.
Wire have won their opening two Super League games against Leeds Rhinos and Huddersfield Giants, so it will be a very tough task for Salford – especially away from home.

Squad News
Alex Gerrard is our latest injury concern, with the Head Coach confirming our number 18 will be out for a number of weeks with a knee problem.
However, our forward line is boosted by the return of Adam Sidlow, with Jack Ormondroyd also knowing a thing or two about winning a game at the Halliwell Jones.
Joe Burgess – after his first 80 minutes of the season last week – is fit and raring to go again.
Rowley’s preview
Our Head Coach was full of praise for the team currently sat top of the pile when he spoke to the media earlier this week.
“They’re kind of the form time at the moment,” he began.
“To probably state the obvious; they’re a physically massive side, but super-quick as well with Ashton and Dufty – people like that.”
Rowley continued: “I was at the first game against Leeds and they did a job against a good side.
“Huddersfield – like they normally do – dominated territory and possession – but Warrington were just too good in the end.
“And they do get a breakaway try from Ashton, so they can hurt you from anywhere – he went 95 metres in that game from an intercept.
“It’s a dangerous round for us, but an exciting one to put our best foot forward against a quality side.”
