SALFORD RED DEVILS ANNOUNCE THE UNIVERSITY OF SALFORD AS CONTINUED PARTNER FOR THE 2025 SEASON

Salford Red Devils are delighted to announce the University of Salford’s continued partnership with the club for the 2025 season.

The University’s logo will take pride of place on the front of the playing shirts for our Men’s, Women’s, and Reserves teams.

This partnership, however, represents much more than a branding opportunity – it’s a statement of intent for a long-term, strategic collaboration.

For 15-years, the University and the Red Devils have worked together; 2025 signals the start of an enhanced relationship, focused on achieving shared goals for the benefit of the Salford community.

At the heart of this partnership lies a commitment to using rugby league and education to deliver positive societal change and to drive community wellbeing.

The collaboration will see the two organisations share resources, including the University’s cutting-edge facilities, to support medical, performance, and commercial teams.

Students from the University will gain hands-on experience across various roles, from sports science to media and event management, while the Red Devils will benefit from the research and innovation the University brings.

Claire Butters, COO of Salford Red Devils, said: “Our partnership with the University is a clear signal of our commitment to being a Salford-first organisation.

“That’s a mindset shared by both organisations which makes the partnership so perfect. There is a genuine desire to make a positive impact together on and off the field.”

Julie Charge, Deputy Chief Executive and Chief Financial Officer at the University of Salford, added: “Supporting our creative and cultural economy is a central piece of our agreement as a civic university, within which we have pledged to drive social and economic change across the region.

“Supporting anchor organisations like Salford Red Devils to ensure the club can continue its valuable work at the heart of our community is an integral part of our commitment.”

This renewed agreement also includes plans for University of Salford collaboration on matchdays, joint community programmes, and collaborative projects designed to promote the sport of rugby league while showcasing the talents of Salford’s people.

This partnership not only strengthens our on-field ambitions but also reinforces our shared commitment to creating opportunities and making a real difference in the local community.
