Fans should plan their journey’s accordingly for the Red Devils next two home games as work continues on the new road leading to the The Salford Stadium.
Supporters will need to adjust their gameday travels with the following road changes in place for the home fixtures against Wakefield on the 1st September and Huddersfield on the 9th September.
Below are all the details
From 21st August, a contraflow will be in place transferring all westbound traffic (towards Irlam) onto the eastbound carriageway (towards Eccles) between the Barton Aerodrome Junction and the Barley Farm Junction. Single lane traffic will apply in both directions.
Traffic turning left out of Stadium Way to head westbound will be required to follow a diversion route through Peel Green to M60 J11 which will then direct traffic back onto the A57 Westbound.
This is ‘phase one’ of a three-stage plan with the road being set for completion in around 12 weeks time. More details will be issued regarding the second and third phases of the works nearer the time.
Again, we stress it is important for fans attending the games against Wakefield and/or Huddersfield to expect their journey’s to take longer than usual and to adjust accordingly.
