Salford Red Devils earned their first victory of the 2018 Betfred Super League season with a 36-12 win over Hull Kingston Rovers.
Head Coach Ian Watson feels the dominant victory is a culmination of his sides improved performances over the past month.
Watson said: “The last three weeks we’ve really improved.
“The Wigan game there were parts we thought we were good and then the Wakefield game our defence really stood up and we outscored them and to be fair we were unlucky not to come away from that game with a result.
“Again, today we’ve shown what we are as a group and how committed the boys are to each other to come out with a great attitude we were really enthusiastic and got the two points with a great performance.
“Just sticking to the game plan and being ridig with it was really pleasing and I thought our middles were outstanding again.
“They ran strongly and defended really well to be fair and continued to fill in from the inside because we know Hull KR try to test you in and around the ruck and I just think the boys did the task really well.
“We’ve got a better balance to us with our middles and outside backs this year and we were really good and really patient tonight played real direct and then obviously opened up on the edges and we took our opportunities once they arose there.
“We’ll go into the next few weeks full of confidence after this performance.”
