Salford Red Devils are pleased to announce that Kris Welham has extended his stay at the club.
The centre, who produced a man of the match performance in the Red Devils’ last fixture, will now form part of head coach Ian Watson’s squad for the 2020 campaign.
Welham said: “I’m really happy to be staying. I love the club. The boys here are great and the fans get behind us every week.
“When I knew they wanted me to stay and there was a deal on the table, it was a no brainer.
“I’m playing well at the minute and I think the most consistent time in my career has been the three years I’ve spent here.
“That’s credit to Watto, with the way he coaches and has me playing, and I’m pleased to be continuing that next season.”
He added: “Me and Tui (Lolohea) have linked up well so far. He’s created a couple of tries for me and with him here next year, I’m sure there are good things to come.
“This year, we’re focusing on making that top five and next year we want to improve on that.”

A brace of tries against Catalans Dragons added to Welham’s tally of more than 150 tries in 300 career appearances.
Salford Red Devils head coach Ian Watson said: “Having Kris onboard for next season is a massive positive for us.
“He’s been one of our most consistent performers since arriving in 2017 and his displays in recent weeks have shown the level of contribution he will continue to make.
“Kris has an important impact on the squad both on and off the field.
“He really buys into everything we do at the club and for that reason is valued by everyone at Salford Red Devils.”

Welham’s impressive form has seen him score in Salford’s last six fixtures.
Salford Red Devils director of rugby and operations Ian Blease said: “We’re delighted to have agreed another year with Kris.
“Kris is a model professional, who’s been a tremendous acquisition for us and continues to be an important part of the squad and club as a whole.
“He’s a fine example of how to conduct yourself on and off the pitch and how to keep yourself fit and motivated at the elite level, in the modern era.
“For me, Kris has led the way for Salford Red Devils in a true and consistent manner throughout his time at the club and we look forward to him having another successful season with us in 2020.”
Welham and his teammates will next be in action on Sunday afternoon, when they travel to face London Broncos.
