STEPH GRAY CHOSEN AS MAY’S WOMEN’S PLAYER OF THE MONTH

Steph Gray has been selected as May’s Women’s Player of the Month.

With the girls’ schedule only seeing them take the field once, last month’s award, chosen by the coaching team, had to take into account all facets of the game; including commitment to training, level of quality on-field, and team ethic.

Gray, who has been a part of the women’s team since its inception, has had to overcome injury adversity to get back to her very best.

Naturally a centre, her performances in the back-row has been a real standout for Mike Grady’s team. In the cup final, where she received Player of the Match, Gray made a stunning 30 tackles across the contest.

On selecting Steph as May’s winner, our Women’s Head Coach, Mike Grady said: “Steph has been outstanding for us and fully deserved this award.

“To come back from such a long injury lay off and set the standard she sets in training, and matches is certainly top class. She has regularly made 30 plus tackles each and every game and fully deserves this award.”

After training yesterday evening, Steph was presented with a meat hamper by our POTM sponsors, AB&S Wholesale – thank you to them for their continued support.
