Sam Hill has been selected in the latest Academy Origin squad after his impressive breakthrough season with the Red Devils.
The youngster has been thrust into the limelight at first grade level after injury and selection trouble for Paul Rowley’s side, but it’s an opportunity he’s taken with both hands.
Recently voted June’s Player of the Month by the Salford faithful, Hill will cap his dream few months by representing Lancashire against Yorkshire next Saturday.
It’s the Red Devils’ second call-up of 2025, with young hooker, Fin Walker linking up with the squad a few months back for game one.
It was the red rose of Lancashire who won the first match of the year 40-22 in April, but have been more disrupted with injuries this time around.
That gives outside back, Hill, the opportunity to train and play with some of the best young talent in the country.
Everyone at the Club is delighted to see Sam rewarded for all his hard work and wishes him the best of luck when the two sides meet at Craven Park next week.
