We are delighted to reveal our designated Pride round will take place against Wakefield Trinity, on Friday 25th August.
It’s set to be a carnival atmosphere, with plenty at stake for both sides at a crucial point in the Betfred Super League season.
The fixture will be celebrating our LGBTQ+ community and sits perfectly before the Manchester Pride Parade on Saturday 26th August; the city’s biggest parade, with thousands upon thousands coming together in the most vibrant and impactful march through the city centre. This year, Manchester Pride proudly celebrates 10 years of Marriage Equality in the UK.
Paul King, Managing Director of Salford Red Devils said;
“We are delighted to once again be supporting Pride, this year dedicating a fixture to celebrating our LGBTQ+ community.”
“We are committed to our club being reflective of our community – all of our community – and to ensuring that anyone and everyone feels welcome at the Salford Stadium.”
We are thrilled that the club will – once again – be represented in the parade with members of our Women’s, Physical Disability, and Learning Difficulty Rugby League Teams taking part. The parade set to kick-off at midday, so head down to see us and join in the fun!
“It is a huge honour that the club is represented through our Women’s, PD and LDRL sides in the Manchester Pride Parade, and we look forward to joining the celebrations in Manchester City Centre on Saturday 26th.”
So if you want to start your celebrations a day early away from Manchester City Centre, the Salford Stadium is a perfect place to be.
