New Head of Safeguarding
The thrill of experiencing a live Betfred Super League game is like no other. Rugby league is exciting, fast-paced and intense. Win or lose, we know the experience is something special and we want it to be a memory that lasts a lifetime for all the right reasons. One important part of creating this experience for fans is the safety of young and vulnerable people when coming to watch the Salford Red Devils.
With a new season underway it means busy match-days full of fans and groups from local community clubs, organisations and schools. Our Head of Safeguarding, Matt Carr, is in place to give peace of mind and confidence when planning a visit. As well as the match-day role, the head of safeguarding is an important resource to assist group visits with their risk assessments, autism friendly visits and community engagement.
Safeguarding extends through our network of community clubs by supporting their coaching staff on keeping up to date with qualifications and compliance. We’re proud to have this role in place at the club and look forward to delivering additional assistance within our community and reassurance to those responsible for young and vulnerable people.
