Head Coach, Paul Rowley is all but aware of the threat Betfred Super League leaders, Hull KR can pose, admitting they are a ‘polished side’ that puts defence first.
The Reds are back in action after a week off to rest and recuperate, and before them is possibly the toughest task of the season so far.
A red-hot Robins, who have stumbled recently in the league, but are fresh from ending a 40-year trophy drought with a dramatic Challenge Cup Final victory over Hull KR.
Speaking in this afternoon’s pre-match press conference, our Head Coach was full of compliments for the rise of the East Hull side.
“I just think they’re a polishing outfit from top to bottom,” he said, “They’re a team that likes to get people in the grind, they play tough and they value defence first and foremost.
“I think Willie Peters has done a fantastic job alongside his Assistant Coaches, and I think as a Club on the whole they’ve been great, they’ve grown on and off the field in each measure.
“I can’t speak highly enough of them, really, they’ve been a good benchmark for any aspiring team. Especially your Leighs and Wakefields who came up from the Championship and emulated that as well.”
