ROWLEY SAYS LEEDS HAVE A ‘GREAT BALANCE’

Head Coach, Paul Rowley was full of praise for Friday’s opponents, Leeds Rhinos and their prospects of achieving Betfred Super League glory.

Despite losing to St Helens last time out, the eight-time champions are one of the form teams in the competition at present. A real standout performance in that run was their win against Hull KR away from home to close the gap on the top two.

Boasting a squad full of homegrown and overseas talent, the Rhinos will most likely be in the conversation for walking out at Old Trafford on October 11th – something our Head Coach would echo.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Rowley was asked to preview our third meeting with Leeds in 2025: “Well, Leeds this year is incredibly tough,” he began, “I think Brad’s (Arthur) done a fantastic job with them, and in my opinion, I’ve said it after the Cas game, I think when Leeds are on, they’re as good as anything in Super League.

“If I were a betting man, I’d be having 10p on Leeds having a crack at the Grand Final. I think they’re a great team, they’ve got great balance, and a team of athletes as well.

“I think the addition of Kallum (Watkins) in particular, whilst it was a big loss to us, has obviously been a big gain to Leeds and I think he’s added some stardust to an already very good team.”
