Head Coach, Paul Rowley has reiterated his gratitude to the Salford faithful for their incredible support during difficult times.
Joe Shorrocks’ sole Red Devils try perhaps received the biggest cheer of the afternoon last Saturday – a fitting reward for the efforts of the team after a brave performance.
Next up is a trip to Newcastle in Magic Weekend to take on Hull KR – the table toppers.
Ahead of the game, on the supporters’ backing of the team, Rowley said: “I say it every week, they’ve been great, they’ve been fantastic and weirdly enjoying the chaos in a roundabout way.
“I think when you let yourself go, get lost in the moment and enjoy the small wins – whether that be a try or a big tackle – then there’s a lot to enjoy about it as well.
“Obviously the journey is difficult and if you overthink it then you talk yourself into being a bit down, but I just think the positive mindset of the supporters, the players and the staff is contagious, and we’re all very defiant.
“Like I said, we’ll celebrate the small win. We might be a little bit crazy in how we go about that, but we’re enjoying the support of our fans that’s for sure.”
