ROWLEY HAS THE ‘UTMOST RESPECT’ FOR HIS TEAM IN DIFFICULT PERIOD

Head Coach, Paul Rowley says he has the ‘utmost respect’ for his team despite suffering a heavy defeat to Hull KR on Thursday night.

It was always going to be the toughest of tasks against the Robins, who are flying high at the top of the Betfred Super League table.

Against a much-changed Salford side, full of inexperience, the visitors piled on the points, with former Red, Joe Burgess scoring four.

Speaking to the press after the game, our Head Coach stated: “Clearly a side there (Hull KR) who are well polished and on a journey against a side that’s been dismantled, and out of its depth.

“If the league was positioned on character, then we’d be fighting it out, but it’s not unfortunately, so physicality, experience, quality – all them things.

“I don’t feel like I’m being too harsh on my players, I’ve got the utmost respect for them, but there’s a clear gulf in quality. They’re on a clear journey, and we’re very much in survival.”
