ROWLEY EXPECTING A ‘FIRED UP’ CATALANS IN THURSDAY NIGHT SHOWDOWN

Head Coach, Paul Rowley is expecting a ‘fired up’ Catalans Dragons to head for the Salford Community Stadium this evening.

After a memorable night against the Warrington Wolves last Friday, where the Reds picked up a 12-25 victory, they are back home looking for another two points.

Under the new management of Joel Tomkins, the Dragons are in the midst of rebuilding a squad that reached the Betfred Super League Grand Final just two years ago.

With a batch of players set for the exit door in Perpignan, a group of impressive young players has taken the reins across 2025.

Speaking to the press, Rowley says he’s expecting the best of the Dragons later tonight: “Just on Catalans first, they’ve clearly gone into a transitional faze now Joel’s (Tomkins) taken over. I think once they realised the playoffs were dead for them, they’ve started focussing on next year whilst not neglecting the standards they want to set this year.

“I know Joel’s a determined bloke; coming initially from the Wigan environment as well, where the standards are so high, the competitive nature of Wigan and Joel has always been evident.

“So we expect them to be fired up. They’ll see us as vulnerable and wanting to get one over on us.”
