Red Devils Club Ambassador Adrian Morley has issued a rallying call to all Salford supporters as the Club prepare for three important games that will define the season.
“This weekend we play Featherstone Rovers, and while the news of Tim Sheens moving on to Hull KR next season is not ideal, this is what happens in sport. Having been in the game for many, many years you see people come and go between clubs. It is part and parcel of rugby league where the one constant is the loyalty of the fans.
“We have all been privileged to have learnt from one of the great coaches of the modern era while he has been with us. Ian Watson has quickly developed into a top coach and will now be able to take what he has picked up and go forward with it and continue to build us into a Super League force.
“Watto is a local lad that has a huge connection, like myself, to our hometown team and it is great to see the confidence that the Club are showing in him as he prepares to take us to the next level.
“The players understand how much these next few weeks mean to everybody connected here. I have seen in their preparations this week that they are completely committed to the task of retaining our spot in the top flight.
“We are all Salford fans, many of us since we were little kids. Tomorrow is no different from today, even if some of the faces at the Club next season might be.”
