MEDICAL TEAM CONTRACTS EXTENDED

Salford Red Devils are pleased to confirm that all members of the Club’s medical team have agreed extensions to their current contracts.

This follows a season where they overcame unprecedented challenges as a department. Their dedication helped ensure there were fewer positive Covid-19 test results within the Red Devils staff group than at any other Betfred Super League club, during the 2020 campaign.

Head physio Rob Artingstall, assistant physio Beth Duggan, lead soft tissue therapist Sara O’Neill and club doctor Tim Sandels have also developed a reputation for their effective management of players injuries, which they will look to continue throughout the 2021 campaign and beyond.

Director of rugby and operations Ian Blease said: “Our medical team have gone above and beyond this year.

“Their collective efforts and expertise helped safeguard our group throughout a season with unimaginable challenges.

“In previous seasons, they had already proven themselves to be key assets for the Club. Their recovery programmes have helped players like our captain return to peak physical condition, after he had considered retirement due to injuries.

“We are delighted that they will continue to be there for our players moving forward.”

These extensions follow last week’s appointment of Richard Marshall as head coach and the recent announcement that player welfare and team manager Marlon Billy has committed his long-term future to Salford Red Devils.

Supporters can get behind the tem ahead of next season, by purchasing 2021 season tickets early. Adult prices have been reduced across all areas, making it even more affordable to watch the team in action. Further details can be found HERE.
