Prop Forward and fans favourite Craig Kopczak was a double winner at the 2016 Salford Red Devils awards dinner, winning both the ‘Players Player’ award, and the ‘Supporters Player Of The Year’ trophies.

Kopczak has had a fantastic year in his first season at the Red Devils, immediately becoming one of the first names on Ian Watson team sheet, missing only game all year.

Fellow Prop George Griffin also won double, as we was awarded the ‘Trainer Of The Year’ title, as well as the ‘Coaches Player Of The Year’, which he shared with Full Back Gareth O’Brien. img_0072

Like Kopczak, George has only missed one game this season, and has established himself as one of the top metre-makers in the side.

O’Brien has had a fantastic season since joining from Warrington, contributing 158 points with his goal kicking and scoring 5 tries.

Mark Flanagan rounded off the player awards by winning the ‘Man of Steel’ trophy. ‘Flash’ has come into the side this season and continued his reputation as a hard hitting Loose Forward.

There was also an award for the Clubs Soft Tissue Therapist Sarah O’Neill, who won the ‘Clubman Of The Year’ trophy. Sarah has been instrumental this season in taking care of the players, making sure they are the best possible condition.
