In a bruising contest, it was a 76th minute drop-goal from Ugo Tison that settled the contest, despite a last-minute try from Neil Tchamambe – his second of the day.
Jack Darbyshire was the first on the scoresheet before Guillermo Aispuro-Bichet crossed on the right edge for Catalans. Tchamambe powered the Reds back in front, but second-half tries from Jordan Dezaria and Denive Balmforth confirmed an away win.
