Women’s Head Coach, Mike Grady has pinpointed some areas for improvement after his team’s 16-6 loss to Featherstone Rovers.
In a real physical tussle at the Millennium Stadium, the hosts added to a 12-0 half-time lead with another try just after the break to perhaps put the game beyond doubt, despite Cailey Miller’s stunning 50-metre break, on debut.
Speaking to us after the game, Grady began by saying: “I think we struggled in a few areas today. I think we were out-enthused, which I’ve spoken about before, which isn’t good enough.
“I think our skill level was poor and let us down; I don’t think we controlled the ruck, so all round, we need to be better, we can be better.
“I’ve just challenged the players, we’ve got a week off and then we go into the Swinton game, so we’ve got a good two weeks of training, we need to step up, we need to be better.”
