GRADY ENCOURAGES SALFORD FANS TO BACK HIS TEAM IN SUNDAY’S FINAL

Women’s Head Coach, Mike Grady has encouraged any Salford supporter to come down and back his team this weekend in their Challenge Shield Final.

After taking the reigns at the start of last season, Grady, who has already experienced a final with North Wales Crusaders, has overseen a period of transition amongst the playing group.

Now with a a new-look, but well-connected team at his disposal, Grady is looking forward to what could be the first piece of silverware at the Club.

Standing in his way are local rivals, the Swinton Lionesses, who have enjoyed an equally as successful start to 2025 – setting this game up for what could be a real firecracker.

With the lads enjoying a week of rest and recovery ahead of a big stretch of Betfred Super League fixtures, our women’s side are the only team in action this weekend.

Previewing the final on our YouTube channel, Grady has encouraged anyone to come down and roar his side to victory: “Come and have a look – you’ll be impressed,” he began.

“I’m really impressed with the tries that we’ve scored, the defence that we’ve got. I want my team to be attacking, to play well and to score some nice tries, which we’ve done.

“So if you get the chance, come down this weekend, and I’m sure Swinton will do the same and it’ll be an entertaining game.”
