The Salford Red Devils are delighted to announce that George Griffin has signed a new long term contract with the club.
George signed for the club in 2015 and was ever present for the Red Devils in 2016 and has quickly become a fans favourite at the The Salford Stadium.
The Back Rower has been one of the first names on the teams sheets for the Red Devils in this time and Ian Watson is looking forward to see him develop further over the coming years;
“George has been the model of consistency during his time at the club. He was a key part of our squad last season and held the pack together alongside Craig Kopczak.
George is still a young player and is developing all the time, his current levels of performance will just be the start.”
Griffin is currently recovering from an injury, but is optimistic about his future at the club, he joked;
“I’ve been given a 2 year deal with an option for a third year, but they’ll definitely want to keep me. It’s basically a 3 year deal.”
And on current performances, it’s hard to disagree.
George is Sponsored by The Joshua Wilson Brain Tumour Foundation.
