CONNELL SWEEPS UP BY SECURING MAY’S TRY OF THE MONTH

Youngster, Nathan Connell has swept up May’s awards by securing Try of the Month for his memorable moment against Wigan Warriors.

As he’d done all game, Esan Marsters – operating at halfback – skipped across the line, showing great agility to find a gap and create the opportunity.

He was supported well by Joe Shorrocks, who showed great speed to sprint away from a couple of Wigan defenders and flick a pass back inside to Connell, who had an open field between himself and the South Stand.

On a difficult night, his first senior try was a standout moment and perhaps one Connell had deserved for his hardworking performances across the month.

This accolade comes off the back of securing May’s Player of the Month and caps a fine run of form for the Academy graduate, who secured a first professional contract at the start of 2025.
