It’s time to select April’s Player of the Month.
A tough month for Paul Rowley’s side saw us visit Perpignan twice, in two different competitions, with home fixtures against Leeds Rhinos and Leigh Leopards in between.
With player availability limited due to the strict salary cap still imposed, a few injuries to some key personnel have made selection dilemmas even tougher for the coaching team.
However, with adversity comes opportunity, and the players have certainly shown plenty of spirit to battle away in the toughest of circumstances. Three of them have been nominated for April’s Player of the Month.
First up is Jack Ormondroyd, who has performed heroically in the middle throughout the entirety of 2025, turning up week-on-week and often playing long minutes.
Tiaki Chan, another middle on loan from Wigan Warriors, has been forced to play a multitude of different positions but has stood up to the task and earned plenty of plaudits from the Salford faithful.
A standout moment for the France international was his barnstorming run through the Catalans defence in our Betfred Super League meeting, laying the platform for Jonny Vaughan’s first try in Red Devils’ colours.
Another nomination for Jayden Nikorima comes off the back of some inspiring, creative performances at halfback. He is consistently at the heart of our attack – making line breaks and commanding the team around the field.
