Ken Sio already cannot wait to get prepped for 2022, following the announcement of his two-year contract extension with Salford Red Devils last week.
Our high-flying winger has been in top form this season, finishing the year as top try scorer in the Betfred Super League with 19 tries in 19 appearances.
Sio, who remains a Red until the end of the 2023 season, picked up five awards at our annual Player Awards evening, was recently named in the 2021 Super League Dream Team, won Super League Try of the Month for September, picked up our Slim Chicken’s Player of the Month for August and has been nominated for Super League Player of the Month, with voting available HERE.
Speaking on extending his stay, Sio said: “Salford have been good to me these last few years, and I’m really happy to be at this club for another two seasons and to continue playing in front of the Salford faithful.
Although we didn’t have the best year, collectively we can do a lot better and I can’t wait to get stuck into preseason with the brothers.”
Director of rugby and operations Ian Blease said: “Kenny had to make sure everything was right for him and his family, and I’m really pleased he’s extended his stay with us.
“There was competition in for Kenny off the back of the fantastic season he has just had but he knows how important he is to the club and its fans here at Salford.
“Recruitment continues for 2022 as we look to strengthen our squad even more.”
