THE ORIGINAL RED DEVILS
In 2017 Sam Stone made his NRL debut for Newcastle Knights against New Zealand Warriors. In the same year he got the chance to play for the Junior Kangaroos against the Junior Kiwis. At the end of the NRL season Stone finished with 16 games for Newcastle Knights and two tries for the club, they offered him a contract extension till the end of 2018.
In 2018 Stone only got two appearances for the Knights in 2018. But he represented Malta in the 2018 Emerging Nations World Championship where he made two appearances and scored one try for Malta.
In 2019 Stone moved to the Gold Coast Titans mid-season till the end of 2020. Stone made eight appearances for the Gold Coast Titans in 2019 and then in 2020 he made nine appearances and scoring three tries for the Titans while he played for them.
In August 2021 Sam Stone had signed for Leigh Centurions and was heading to play in the Betfred Super League. In Stones first year at the Centurions, he made five appearances and scored two tries. In Stones second year at the Leigh Centurions in 2022 he played in the Million Pound Game against Batley to gain promotion for Leigh into Super League. Leigh Centurions Won 44-12 and was promoted again. In November 2022 Stone had signed a contract with Salford Red Devils for the 2023 Super League Season.
Stone joined Salford and played 25 games for the club and had 24 starts as well. Over the 2023 season he scored six tries and the most notable being the golden point try against Warrington Wolves Round 25 on the 10th September.
