THE ORIGINAL RED DEVILS
Chris Atkin started his career off at Swinton Lions as a part-time player for Swinton. Whilst playing for Swinton Lions Atkin was a vital player to the tam and helped them secure promotion to the Championship in 2016. Over the time he played at Swinton Lions he made 100 club appearances from 2014-2017 with 97 of them being starts for them and amounted 721 points for Swinton.
During the 2017 season Atkin was bought from Swinton Lions by Hull Kingston Rovers and was to play immediately for the remainder of the 1017 season. Atkin made his Hull Kingston Rovers debut on 23rd July 2017 against Halifax Panthers, unfortunately they lost 28-6. During the 2017 Hull Kingston Rovers where also promoted back into super league for the 2018 season.
Atkin made his Super League debut for Hull Kingston Rovers against Leeds Rhinos in Round 2; he also was awarded the Sky Sports Man of The Match for his performance throughout the game. Atkin scored his first Super League try against Wigan Warriors at the DW Stadium in Round 8 of the Super League. Atkin played three seasons at Hull Kingston Rovers and made 66 appearances with 41 starts and scoring 15 tries for Hull.
Salford Red Devils signed Atkin for the 2020 season. Chris Atkin made his Salford Red Devils debut on 22nd February 2020 at home against Leeds Rhinos. Atkin is a great player that contributes immensely to the Salford Red Devils team.
Chris Atkin also represented England Knights in 2018. He played in two games for the England Knights against Papua New Guinea away there. In the second test Atkin scored for the Knights but unfortunately the England Knights lost 32-22.
