Nene Macdonald’s sublime effort against Castleford Tigers has been voted February’s Try of the Month.
At a pivotal point in the game, just before the half-time hooter, Marc Sneyd sent a kick swirling towards the retreating Luke Hooley.
The Cas fullback tried to catch the ball with one foot planted in the in-goal, but had his pockets-picked by Macdonald, who showed unbelievable athleticism to leap over Hooley and ground the ball.
After a quick video referee check, the try was awarded and the Red Devils went into the break with a commanding lead.
It’s beaten Cade Cust, Amir Bourouh and Sam Stone’s efforts to claim the first prize of the season.
