Salford Red Devils Head Coach Ian Watson know his side will need to put together an eighty-minute performance if they are to overcome 2017 League Leaders’ Shield winners Castleford Tigers.
Watson said: “It’s something we need to rectify and make sure we’re giving eighty-minute performances.
“Against Wigan we had a poor fifteen minutes in the game then we had a poor second half performance against St Helens
“When we’re playing the best teams there are only small margins – it’s important we’ve got our focus and concentration on for the full eighty this weekend.
“They’re an attacking team and they like to play physically in defence as well so we know what to expect going up there as well and we’re looking forward to presenting our own challenge to them.
Watson also discussed the decisions he now has to make in the forwards after Mark Flanagan returned to the side last weekend against St Helens.
He said: “Weller [Hauraki] is fresh and available again after missing out last weekend.
“Flash [Mark Flanagan] was exceptional last weekend considering it was his first game since July last year so the fact that he came back in and give us a lot of energy defensively with his line speed and with his smartness in attack
“We’ll be looking for him to add those things again this week.”
