GIL DUDSON | “IT’S DOWN TO US”

Salford Red Devils forward Gil Dudson believes the club can cement their spot in the play-off positions following Friday night’s victory over Castleford Tigers.
The Red Devils moved up to fifth in the Super League table with a 26-16 win at the The Salford Stadium and the Welsh international intends to stay there until the end of the regular season.
Dudson said: “That’s the aim. If we play to our best every week, we don’t feel like there are many teams that can stick with us.
“It’s down to us, as long as we keep performing and stick to our game plan, then I don’t see why not.”
The 29-year-old prop credited the team’s defensive work as a key part of their performance. The Red Devils stopped their opponents from scoring in the second-half, to secure the two points.
Dudson said: “We’ve been working on our defence all year. Defence wins games at the end of the day.
“We were frustrated coming in at half-time. We said to each other that we’re in control, so we just need to knuckle down and start again in the second-half.”
Salford will look to make it three consecutive wins when they travel to the DW Stadium to face Wigan Warriors on Friday. Ticket information is available HERE.
