THE ORIGINAL RED DEVILS

FEBRUARY PLAYER OF THE MONTH NOMINEES REVEALED

It’s time to vote for your February Player of the Month.

Paul Rowley’s side have started their 2024 Betfred Super League campaign on the front foot, with some exciting new additions showing their quality and reliable faces back to their very best.

February saw the Red Devils face Leeds Rhinos and Castleford Tigers in the opening two rounds.

Despite a valiant performance at AMT Headingley, Sam Lisone’s late effort was the difference in Round 1, with Cade Cust’s debut try a notable highlight.

Salford bounced back in their opening home fixture a week later, beating the Tigers 26-22.

Four players stood out above the rest across the two fixtures and they’re now in the mix for the first individual accolade of 2024.

Starting with the skipper, Kallum Watkins, who continues to set the standard and show his class in the back-row.

A selfless, hard-working individual, Watkins is held in such high regard by the coaching staff and his teammates.

Next up is our star signing, Nene Macdonald, who has shown supporters the freakish ability he brings to the side.

A notable highlight across February was his acrobatic leap over Cas’ Luke Hooley to score a crucial try, just before half-time in Round 2.

Sam Stone – a double try-scorer in our victory over Cas – is also nominated for two fine displays in the back-row. Picking up the consistently brilliant form we saw in his debut season.

And last, but certainly not least is Marc Sneyd.

Mr. Reliable with the boot both in hand and from the tee, our number seven has maintained a 100% conversion record, so far, picking up a couple of try assists along the way.
